Are they getting new equipment to replace their fairly old apparatus, or are they disbanding? I always thought that Kyrius Joel was an area that was "growing". The e-bay listings mention that one of the apparatus does have a "leaking gasket". Maybe they felt that at this point it is better to buy something newer than to invest money into repairs. Any one in that area that can find out. PS that Compac is ugly!

Buildings are popping up in KJ like weeds. They are not only building residential housing in droves but numerous commercial structures have recently been built in the village.

It looks like the listings were removed sometime during the day, I no longer see them on EBAY.

I had heard they had ordered some new pieces, but I forget who the dealer was and whether they were new or used.

Please. Emergency apparatus is sold on EBay all the time. I'm sorry to say, but if the terrorists want to accomplish something, they're going to get it done, someway, somehow. I personally feel that all emergency apparatus disposed of should either be traded in or donated to a department in need in this country, if we're so concerned about "HOMELAND security".

Fire apparatus is sold and aqquired in a variety of different fashions, and new purposes found for some, and I'm sure if the terrorists wanted to get their hands on emergency apparatus, they could find a way that goes without notice.
