New Outside Scanner Antenna

Hello everyone...

I'm interested in investing in a new external antenna for my scanner. I'm not talking about a magnet mount of glass mount, I'm looking for a real decent antenna that I can permanently mount, and that will last me a long time. Right now I am using a "spider" discone antenna. I put it up about five years ago, and to my advantage It is mounted 70ft high. As the years went on, the antenna started to warp/rust, the connections started to loosen, and my coax cables were starting to crack. Before it gets really cold out I would like to replace my whole system. Does anyone know of a good outside antenna that will do a great job? Cost really isn't a big option for me.
