Congestion pricing finally coming to the Tappan Zee Bridge?

Opportunity just keeps knocking at the toll booths on the Tappan Zee Bridge.

It knocked in 2005, when the New York State Thruway Authority raised tolls for the first time in 17 years, and it's knocking again now.

But nobody knows if the agency, when it meets next week to consider another toll increase, is finally prepared to open the door to congestion pricing for commuters — the practice of charging higher tolls in peak hours and lower tolls in off-peak ones.
