Time: 0500hrs

Location: Malibu, LA County- Malibu Crest, Pepperdine University and Serra Retreat areas.

Departments: LA County Fire, CDF

Description: Large wildfire fueled by Santa Ana Winds burning over 1,000 acres or (1) square mile. Fire jumped the Pacific Coast Highway and has destroyed multiple structures, including the Castle Kashan, Malibu Presbyterian Church and several beach houses.

-10% containment

-(25) structures burned.

-Fire involves 2,200 acres.

-At 0700hrs (Pacific) the fire was burning toward LA County Fire Station 70.

-CDF is operating with (3) Strike Teams, (5) Engines each.

-Orange County Fire operating with 300 firefighters. Anaheim FD operated in Carbon Canyon overnight.
