Major Incident Los Angeles County 10/12/2007

Last night I5 at State Hwy 14 in the southbound truck route tunnel, major accident with fire involving at least 15 semi trucks. Fire burned so hot it may have caused damage to the tunnel structure. I5 still closed tonight with LA County Fire still pulling debris out of the tunnel. Today it was announced 2 DOA and 10 injured. Reports of cement in the tunnel being damaged by the fire kep firefighters in a defensive mode and did not enter the tunnel until this morning. Mutual Aid from LAFD and various Verdugo dispatched departments.
