Dutchess bank robbed

Dover Plains – A lone man held up the Dover branch of the Salisbury Bank and Trust Co. Friday afternoon.

State Police said the white male, who was wearing a blue baseball cap, robbed the Dover Village Plaza bank branch at around 3:30 p.m.

The man handed a teller a note stating he had a gun, and demanded money. He did not display a weapon, police said.

The robber fled the bank and was least seen driving in a black Chevy Blazer, police said.

This is the second bank robbery in as many days in the region. A man held up a bank branch in the Village of Ardsley.
