hey everyone, im doing a project for school and ive chosen Yorktown ems as one of my topics.

for the project i need information such as,

How many ambulances do you have?

Is the department paid, volunteer or a mix of both?

What are your ambulance number's (i.e 53-b1)

How many call do you get a year

What type of radios do you have/ who can you communicate with?

How many people are active in the department?

Do you provide BLS or ALS or both?

If you don't have ALS who provides for you?

Do you pay them?

What special equipment do you carry on your ambulance?

Who Dispatches you?

What area do you cover? any major locations?

What hospitals do you transport to?

So if anyone from Yorktown, or anyone who would know any of this information about Yorktown would you be so kind to take a minute to fill out as much as possible below, or in a p.m it would be very much appreciated

Oh and i haven't looked yet but could anyone post a picture of their rigs and station?

last time i checked it was between 1200 and 1500

unsure

BLS Epi-pen certified to administer

Who Dispatches you?

yorktown police

What area do you cover? any major locations?

approximatly a 30-40 square mile area from rt 100 and 133 west to the croton bridge, north to BJ;s shopping center, east to quaker church rd

What hospitals do you transport to?

HVHC

NWHC

WMC

thanks EMSJunkie712, that filled in alot of the gaps, but everyone feel free to add more information, even if its not a question i asked...im going to take a trip down and take some pictures.. thanks alot to everyone who has helped out so far

Now wait. When you mean "Yorktown EMS" do you mean the entire town? Or are you just doing your project on YVAC? Don't forget 30% of the town (roughly) is covered by Mohegan VAC.
