Mohegan FD Open House

The Mohegan Volunteer Firefighters are proud to announce an open house at our Headquarters at 1975 E. Main St (Rt. 6) near Lexington Ave. in Mohegan Lake. This event will be held on Sun. Oct. 14 from 11am to 4pm. Events scheduled for the day include tours of the firehouse plus fire engine and "Jaws of Life" demonstrations. There will also be ambulance tours and demonstrations by the MVFA-VAC. Our antique fire truck will be on display along with displays from our Fire-Police unit. Literature on fire prevention and injury prevention will also be available. Special treats for the kids will include appearances from Sparky the Fire Dog and Freddie the Fire Truck. Kids will also be able to spray water from a real fire hose. Refreshments will also be served.
