White Plains Fire Training On New Hydrogen Fueling Station

Today, members of the White Plains Fire Department were training on a new Shell Hydrogen Fueling station, located at the City shops complex.

White Plains is involved in a pilot program using hydrogen prototype cars, and Shell built and operates this facility.

I was wondering if any of the guys from White Plains could tell us more?

I attended a training class about 2 weeks at GM regarding their hydrogen Equinox vehicles that will be deployed in the area soon. White Plains is going to be using the prototypes. They have a range of 150 miles so with the only place to fuel them being the station in White Plains, they offered the training to all agencies within a 75 mile radius of there.

They gave us a website for First Responders where we can learn about all of the new technologies GM is using and how we may have to handle these vehicles when they become involved in a collision.
