Volunteer firefighters competition parade results

New Windsor — The 92nd annual Orange County Volunteer Firemen's Association Convention Week ended with a competition parade in New Windsor attended by many Orange County fire departments and several guest departments from outside the county.

"Parade chairman Tom Prendergast, OCVFA President Barry Marshall, the parade committee and the NWFD members wish to thank all the volunteers, donors, residents and service personnel who assisted and supported us to make the week's events a great success," said Wayne Chernek of the New Windsor Fire Department.

The competition results are:

Best Appearing Overall Men's Unit With Apparatus: Winona Lake Engine Company

Best Appearing Overall Ladies Auxiliary: Winona Lake Engine Company

Best Appearing Overall Orange County Firematic Color Guard: Goodwill Fire Department
