Call Audits And Patient Confidentiality

2 posts in this topic

During call audits, I'm assuming it's a law/rule that the patients identity not be revealed.

However, if the circumstances of the incident are so unique, that it allows those at the call audit to identify who the patient is, then is there a privacy violation there??

Seth,

it is my understanding that if there are no ideatifiers for the patient (name, birthdate, address etc.), then it is not a violation. There is nothing that can be done if someone is familiar with the call or person (s) involved.
