USCG reports a call from a boater on the Hudson River near Viking Boat Yard in Verplanck

who saw Emergency Flares being shot up into the sky.

2055 HRS Verplanck FD requests that Montrose FD Marine Unit also be dispatched.

Westchester County PD Marine Unit not available.

2059 HRS Rockland County Sheriff Marine Unit in contact with the boater (Tug Boat) who called in

seeing the Flares go up on Marine CH 16.

2108 HRS Rockland County Sheriff Marine Unit has located the Boat in Distess IFO King Marina in Verplanck

and will escort them to safety. All FD units in service.
