Once again I bear bad news. Another retired Yonkers police officer passed away, just hours after visiting with the family of Ret. PO Capraro Sr., Frank Hollywood passed away in his residence. Frank's son Michael is a Yonkers police officer assigned to the 2nd precinct and our condolences go out to him and his family. Mike is getting married soon and this unfortunate turn of events makes everything a little different. Frank is officially 10-7 and may God rest his soul.

Francis Hylan Hollywood passed away suddenly in his sleep on Wednesday, August 29, 2007. Francis was born to Sarah (nee Murphy) and Michael Hollywood on November 19, 1942 in the Bronx. He attended St. Luke's Grammar School (Bronx) and graduated from Roosevelt HS (Yonkers) in 1961. Francis joined the Yonkers Police Department in 1972 and retired in December 2004. On April 20, 1974, Francis married Patricia Madden at St. Ann's Church in Yonkers. He is survived by his wife, Patricia and his sons, Michael, James and William. He also leaves behind his brother, John (Elizabeth) Schmidt and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Yonkers PBA-104 So. Broadway, Yonkers 10701. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Church (Nepera Park) on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
