LaGrange will discuss exempting farms from fire tax

FREEDOM PLAINS — The LaGrange Town Board will discuss a proposal to exempt agricultural land from fire taxes at 8 p.m. tonight in town hall.

The proposal is one measure that could be taken to preserve open space in LaGrange.

The town board will also discuss other ways of implementing its recently adopted open space plan.

The meeting in LaGrange town hall at 120 Stringham Road is open to the public.

How much of an impact will this have on the LFD?

The FD is controled by a fire district, are they in agreement to this proposal?
