Description Of Incident: Vehicle attempted to flee traffic stop @ 228 & White Plains Rd dragging officer for a short distance before he was able to free himself and fire several shots at the vehicle. Driver struck in the leg and passenger unhurt. Vehicle stopped on the North bound ramp for BRP @ 233rd. Officer taken to OLM with minor injuries and driver taken to Jacobi in stable condition.

BRP north still closed as of 6am for investigation.
