MOCKEL, ROY E.

August 08, 2007

Roy E. Mockel, of Yorktown Heights, died peacefully on August 6, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in the Bronx on September 6, 1946 to Robert and Theresa Mockel. He was raised in Parkchester and went on to serve in the Marine Corp for four years. On June 21, 1970, he married Barbara Masterson. In January of 1974, Roy became an Ossining Police Officer. He served 25 years and retired in January of 1999. Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; children, Robert Mockel, also of Yorktown and Laura Pereira of Mahopac, NY. He is also survived by his son-in-law, Jorge Pereira; future daughter-in-law, Lisa Trapasso and new granddaughter, Carly Pereira. He is also survived by his brother, Fred Mockel of Palm Coast, FL. He will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Calling hours are Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, at Clark Funeral Home in Yorktown Heights. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, 11 am, at New St. Patrick's Church, also in Yorktown Heights. Interment will be private. The family is grateful to the entire staff of Northern Westchester Hospital for their care, kindness and extraordinary support.
