I enjoy going to Long Beach Island in NJ, there is an Inn, The Spray Beach Inn, that is right on the water and the view is just amazing.

Lake George is a great weekend spot and so is Point Pleasant NJ. I also like Vegas. I just got home from Southen California and thought it was nice there also.

If you really want to go to a nice island with not too much night life ( you can tell I am getting older) than try Bermuda. The beaches are beautiful and the resorts are nice. I love the pools where there are bar stools in the water and you can swim right up to the bar.

Lake George Region is always a good bet for anyone that wants to stay cheap and in New York State. Its beautiful, quite, a certain amount of night-life is always great. My only suggestion is avoid Lake George Village.....for the most part it is always humid, crowded and full of tourist trap type places. Bolton Landing is a good way to go for Lake George feel while avoiding the village.

Also.......the Jersey Shore, like Cape May is great for relaxing on a beach somewhere local but sometimes it can be too crowded.

I you want to go alittle far out but somewhere very nice is where I am going on vacation in a few days, Yellowstone National Park in Wyonming and Glacier National Park in Montana are amazing.

Block Island which is off of the coast of Rhode Island. It is a very nice place to go for a vacation. There is only one way to bring your car over and that is by a ferry from Point Judith. There are a two High Speed Ferries (passangers only) from Point Judith and from New London CT.

Lake George. It can't get any more relaxing than looking off the side of a ship and staring at the lakeside. To me anyway, THAT's PARADISE. Either that, or I'm just addicted to the arcade.

Most unbelievable trip I ever took: Anchorage and Denali Nat'l Park (Alaska - duh)...

Trips a bit more local: Block Island, Conway NH, Washington DC (although this was a long, long time ago), Outer Banks NC. Then theres always WDW!

We just got back from Daytona...actually stayed in Ormond Beach....I love it there. Love the beach.....one day they had 122 water rescues! It seemed like every 5 minutes there was a beach/lifeguard/police/emt truck or 4 wheeler racing up the beach Code 3! My 4 y/o buff was in his glory!
