Maugansville Goodwill Volunteer Fire Company

Paid Driver / Firefighter Position

The Maugansville Goodwill Volunteer Fire Company is seeking qualified applicants to fill two part-time Driver / Firefighter positions.

Minimum Requirements:

· High School Graduate or equivalent

· Valid Maryland Class B Commercial or Non-Commercial drivers license or other state equivalent

· Five years experience driving Class A fire apparatus (pumper)

· Copy of “Full-Term†driving record from Motor Vehicle Administration

·NFPA 1001 Firefighter II

· Hazardous Materials Operations

· Rescue Technician or equivalent

· Current MD or National EMT certification

· Current CPR / AED certification

· Skills and abilities to operate and maintain firefighting apparatus and equipment

Candidates must pass:

· A background check

· Washington County physical

· Drug and alcohol test

Duties to include:

· Equipment and Apparatus checks

· Station Details

· Pre Emergency Analysis

· Fire Prevention details

· Response on all emergency calls

· Data Entry

· Other duties as assigned
