Stony Hill CT FD New Ambulance

Why does Stony Hill have to raise funds themselves by holding a car show,etc to buy an ambulance in this day and age? And believe me, from seeing it firsthand they need a new one. Bethel's growing, and I would hope EMS would keep up.

don't quote me but I think they are independent from the town. Anyone from stoney hill here?

In the town of Bethel, Both the Bethel Volunteer FD and the Stony Hill Volunteer FD Own and operate their ambulances on donations. EMS recieves very minimal funds from the town. Only the Fire Aparatus is owned by the town.
