Critical Close Call in Maryland

Critical Close Call in Maryland....Battalion Chief Lisa Dunaway (Battalion 3-Prince Georges County, Maryland) was seriously injured while operating on the scene of a call. As units were picking up, the unoccupied battalion chief's vehicle apparently started to move, running through a chain link fence and across the parking lot towards E233. Battalion Chief Dunaway attempted to get into the vehicle before it struck E233 and was wedged in between the two vehicles. The crews from E233 and Squad 27 that were still on the scene were able to back the vehicle off of her and immediately rendered aid. Battalion Chief Dunaway was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore by MSP Trooper 2. She has multiple injuries and underwent surgery early yesterday morning. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
