Irvington Rescue 27-What Was It?

does anyone know what irvington R-27 is, I know it is not the international because that is R-49. I saw the number on the westchester plate assignments page and as usual got courious. any info. will begreatly apprieciated, thanx, steve.

If memory serves me correctly that was there old Dive Team Truck......It was an older Blue Ford Econloine Van.....was kept (Or atleast I saw it here) across the street from there station in an alley.......youst to carry the boat on this aswell

Rescue 47 was the old IFD dive unit, a blue van donated by PepsiCo. It carried dive gear and other water rescue equipment. R-27 was retired from service in 1999 when Rescue 49 was delivered.
