Ossining Town PD/Firefighter dies suddenly

With regrets I pass on the information of the passing of Ossining Town Police officer Donato (Danny) Traditi(44 yrs old) His untimely death has shocked the pd/fd in ossinig as well manyfriends and family members. Dan was an ex-capt/driver and present president of monitor hose co in ossining.Dan leaves behind his wife Deborah and 3 young sons. Wake is wed 2-4,7-9 @ Dorsey Funeral home in Ossining. Funeral will be at St Augustines Church in Ossining Thurs @ 10 am. Im sure this will be a class A uniform funeral for both the FD/PD. According to a few of his fellow officers Dan was involved with the DARE program for years and will be missed by many. Im sure in time his fellow officers will organize a 10-13 event to help out the family. May Danny rest in peace!

Wednesday, September 29th, 2004 - TRADITI, DONATO (DANNY) V. - Donato (Danny) V. Traditi, Jr.- age 44 died suddenly Sunday, September 26, 2004. Danny was born in N. Tarrytown on April 27, 1960 and is the son of Donato and Marie (nee Apostolico) Traditi. Danny was a graduate of Ossining High School. He was a Police Officer with the Town of Ossining Police Dept. for 17 years. He was the Vice President of the Town of Ossining PBA, the DARE Officer at St. Augustine and Ann M. Dorner Schools. Danny was the School Resource Officer at Ann M. Dorner Middle School. He also was a community board member of the Ossining Communities That Care. Danny was the President, Ex-Captain and driver of the Monitor Hose Co. # 4 of the Ossining Fire Dept. He was a former communicant at the St. Augustine’s Church and a communicant of Blessed Kateri Roman Catholic Church in LaGrangeville. Danny is survived by his wife of 17 years Deborah, his sons Donato III, Eric and Brandon, his parents Donato (Danny) Sr. and Marie, his sisters Sharon, Teresa (Kenny) Donato, Cathy (Pete) DiSisto, Donald (Tara), Dennis (Chrissy) and Many other relatives. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday 11:30 AM at St. Augustine Church in Ossining. Friends are urged to meet the morning of the Mass at St. Augustine’s. The interment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery. It is strongly urged that in lieu of flowers donations to the Donato V. Traditi Jr.
