Tarrytown- Pursuit/Perp in the Water 05-01-07

Description Of Incident: NJSP in pursuit if a Perp driving a cab from a tractor trailer leads PD in a chase over the GWB from New Jersey and into the Bronx and Westchester.

2110hrs- NJSP in pursuit of suspect toward GWB. PAPD pursue suspect over the bridge, NJSP terminate thier part of the pursuit.

2120hrs- NYPD and PAPD continue through the Bronx.

2126hrs- NYPD units in pursuit northbound Saw Mill Parkway into Yonkers. YPD and WCPD notified.

2128hrs- NYPD Aviation over vehicle- white cab truck, passing Executive Blvd in Yonkers. YPD assisting. WCPD units responding south.

2130hrs- WCPD advising vehicle is passing Dobbs Ferry at a high rate of speed with numerous NYPD units in pursuit.

2132hrs- WCPD Sam-1 advising suspect is on the Thruway approaching the Tappan Zee Bridge. NYSP notified.

2135hrs- WCPD rpts vehicle has crashed and driver is out and climbing over the railing. Suspect then jumped into the river just off-shore.

2136hrs- Units req. boats to scene. NYPD Aviation is over suspect who is swimming ATT.

2138hrs- Units advising suspect is holding onto bridge. WCPD Marine-4 recalled. WCPD Aviation unavailable. Rockland County Sheriff's req. for boat.

2140hrs- WCPD advising fireboats are enroute, PD req. all responding fireboats to have PD onboard.

2145hrs- Marine 5 and Marine 7 on scene. Units had lost visual on suspect.

2152hrs- Suspect has been located near Pier 4 near WI Marina and is swimming away from vessels.

2200hrs- WCPD being advised that perp is in custoday on Marine 7 with Tarrytown PD on board and is combative. Suspect will be brought into Tarrytown Marina. PAPD responding to take arrest.
