I think Mike (E290/L103) must of stood on the NY/NJ border to fit that baby into his shot!!

In all seriousness, specialty rigs that are designed to handle special emergencies tend to be larger to accomodate all of their specialty gear. If this was a "10 call a day rig," then that may become problemsome. But for a regional response unit, I am sure a lot of planning and logistics went into this unit.

I hear some of the local PDs are getting one to handle our calls..... ](*,)

Especially like the Hazmat placard on the front grille ! Is that required now ?

Fort Monmouth (Monmouth County District 75) has some nice toys... No narrow roads and lots of acreage mean that they have a pretty large playground...lol.

They also just got a new tandem axle Pierce Rescue. it replaced a 94 Pierce HR which was in mint condition. typical government deal there...

they are also getting another trailer similar to the Hazmat one, so they can hook up either unit and go.
