Photo Night had a decent turnout of rigs, but only a fraction of what was invited. Too bad, as there were a number of things on that list that I badly wanted to shoot in a condition like that. Oh well.....

Don't know if this was the start of a new trend or what, but four departments brought not only their new piece, but their antique as well. River Edge's 2006 Pierce Saber was accompanied by their 1962 Seagrave (THANK YOU God!!!!!). Montvale's 2005 Pierce Dash tower was joined by it's beautiful 1935 Seagrave, Demarest's 1977 (not new, but.....) Mack CF was joined by a 1948 Mack that was just restored. I didn't get a chance to find out where this piece came from, as their own rig was destroyed in a fire at the Mack dealership while having some work done on it several years ago, and last but not least, Moonachie's BRAND NEW (read: just delivered on Friday) KME mid-mount tower was followed by it's 1940-something GMC, which boasts stickers on the bumper which read "Still In Service".

Other notables in attendance included Little Ferry's new Seagrave engine, Fort Lee's Squad 2, Wallington's Scuba unit (with boat), and four of Ridgefield Park's rigs. Maybe one or two others I'm forgetting, but that's about it.

The flea market wasn't full, and neither was the auditorium, but the show was pretty decent all around. Very nice tribute to Past President Art Knobloch, who passed away last November. Job well done to all who presented their work.
