Swiftwater Rescue Training?

With the events of last night, I'm interested to see how many people that responded to the incident had swiftwater training?

I know some of my brothers in Hartsdale and Fairview have taken the course, but has anyone from the Sound Shore departments?

In light of this incident, I think this is a course that should be reuired, and maybe even a formation of a swiftwater rescue team.

It's long overdue and should absolutely be a requirement!

We take for granted the power of moving water and grossly underestimate the danger it poses everytime we drive, walk, or otherwise traverse moving flood water!
