Just Upgraded My Photo Printing Capabilties

4 posts in this topic

I have just upgraded my photo printing abilities. I installed the HP D7360 with vivera heat transfer ink jet printing. This is an addition to the HP Photosmart 7960 and the Epson PictureMate Deluxe that I already have on the desk. Actually this was out of necessity, I snap the USB connection to the 7960 last week going between 8x10 prints and quick dye prints on the Epson...used to use one cable. At the cost of a learning experience, I now have two printers connected by HiSpeed USB 2.0 and the older HP is connected by manual transfer of prints to any type of memory card device. I need a bigger desk though, getting awfully overcrowded!!!!!

Quick question: Does anyone else use an HP printer with Vivera Inks and how do you like it? Write ups on the web were outstanding.

As well with this equipment I am now able to print graphics and labels for all you kit bashers...just let me know and we can work something out!

For print-at-home, I use an HP Photosmart 8450 that's about 2 years old now, used exclusively for photo printing, and it produces very high quality photo prints.

However, I use a professional lab for most of my prints. http://www.mpix.com produces outstandiong prints on great paper, and very quick turnaround. They make my photos look amazing, and you can tell the difference between professional photographer lab and print at home. MPix is designed for the serious photographer, BTW. Getting your prints at CVS, etc is no comparison at all.

Vivera inks are good, but the initial cartridges don't last too long. You'll have better luck once you refill.

Another good online pro printing site is http://dotphoto.com and they have a multitude of printing surfaces including mugs and such.
