Requirements: Must have knowledge in FF and rescue operations and airport operations; HS/GED; 2 years of full time paid experience in filed of airport maintenance, buildings &/or grounds maintenance, highway maintenance, equipment maintenance or similar field, or equivalent part time &/or volunteer; FF II cert or Essentials of FF cert, or equivalent cert in another field; VNYDL Class B w/in 18 months; graduation from NY basic FF training program w/in 18 months of hire; NYS EMT cert w/in 18 months; grad from accredited Basic Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting course w/in 18 months.
