Oh, and while I'm here - why all the negativity about not letting the chief speak? If Jeff was specifically mentioned by the owners, even if this did happened in Brewster, he still should've been able to say something! Did any of you that are bashing the article and/or Jeff happen to notice that his wife and children were mentioned also? I think this was a very nice article, and a very nice pat on the back to a great fireman and wonderful man. Personally knowing Jeff, I am sure all of this will just settle inside, he's not an attention seeker. He's a fireman to save lives and property....NOT to get recognition (which I thought we all were)!!!

I think it's about time the media focused on something good and not the few bad seeds we have in the fire service.
