Two NYPD Detectives from the 67 Squad in Brooklyn were fatally shot this evening while attempting to arrest a suspect in a domestic violence case. One of the Detectives was able to return fire, wounding the suspect, who was eventually arrested behind King's County Hospital Center. Both Detectives were pronounced in the hospital.

Deepest thoughts of sympathy for the two police officers, their family, friends, and fellow officers. Very sad to hear this and a RIP for both police officers...

very sad indeed, can only imagine how the families are feeling RIP to both...this is why they always tell you to wear your vests...

One thing the city did do for them is award both a posthumous promotion which will allow the families a significant boost in thier benefits.
