Description Of Incident: 30-year old male with severe trauma to the hand from a firework.

0610hrs- (2) calls on a possilbe shot fired or explosion in the area of Vineyard X Ashburton, possibly the parking lot. Units in the area heard what sounded like an explosion. Both callers were from area of 12 Vineyard Ave.

0620hrs- PCT units and ESU have searches area of Ashburton X Vineyard with negative results. Now getting call from St. Joe's of a walk-in with "his hand blown off."

0700hrs- Victim and witness related place of occurence as in front of 20 Orchard St. PD has a crime scene with a large amount of blood and what appers to be fingers in the street. On canvass, multiple residents heard an explosion, but never called the Police.
