x635's Diecast Collectible Photo Studio

3 posts in this topic

Many people asked how I set up this shot:

Here's a behind the scenes look at the x635 Diecast Collectible photo studio (which is also used for other items. (Not pictured- the tripod and camera). Special thanks to an anonymous friend for helping me with this- actually I just gave orders from my bed.

I use this to photograph most of my pieces to go along with my inventory system. Sometimes though I set up the shot differently, like here.

[attachmentid=2102]

Again, special thanks to my friend for doing this for me and lifting my spirits a little in the meantime.

I never got into the diecast collectible market, although I have always had an interest. It is amazing the detail and craftsmanship that go into these pieces.

Nice setup and nice rigs you got!

I want to get one of those mini studio boxes with the lights, they are cool. I did set up one room in my house with directional halogen lighting to take photos of my daughter and other family members so that we don't have to pay those ridiculous prices of the studios and stores. When not photoging anything the room is my daughters playroom so it does get used all the time.
