FDNY Rescue 1 and Friend at MSG

8 posts in this topic

I went to see the Pre-season NIT (college basketball) Championship back in November, at Madison Square Garden. My brother-in-law was in NYC for the first time, so he was amazed when he saw the FDNY in action...even it be very little "action"

These photos are of the now retired R1 (I believe) and L21:

I can only call it as I see it...However, it may have been temporarily assigned, cause the company level patch does not exist, just the Rescue Services Logo. I am taking a close look at my Code 3 R3 (the Bronx K).

With the spare tire underneath in the back... but the lug nut broke off earlier that morning. Just think, they had no spare tire, glad they didn't get a flat.

They have spare tires on the rig? Wouldnt a call to the shops do the trick? Never heard of that before...seems like a waste of space and weight to have something you never will use..(i get it now tongue.gif )

He was joking.....the RESCUE Co's dont get flats all of the tires are hooked up to the onboard air pump. So they never get flats.
