YPD HHR!

I was parked @ D&D monday night [on tuckahoe] and a YPD Sgt. came in to buy some coffee or something... When I went outside I saw a chevy HHR painted up like an old time black and white with a single revolving red light mounted on top.

Anybody know what the deal with this thing is?

I think it belongs to Yonkers Racetrack Security I saw it in their parking lot today no agency markings - just black & white with the single gumball machine on top - if this is what you were referring to???

No It's Yonkers Raceway Police. They have the power to arrest on the property of the racetrack. They are peace officers

They are security now. The State Police control all inside operations at the Casino/Racetrack or Racino as commonly referred to. YPD handles all outside conditions such as traffic and parking area calls. For a long time they were the Yonkers Raceway Police and there may still be members of that unit working there. Now they are security provided by a 3rd party agency out of Mt. Vernon. I believe you can look for a job with them on the Casino's website.
