"Dog killed in fire, no humans injured

It's a doggone shame.

No human was hurt in an afternoon house fire in the Town of Poughkeepsie that killed a dog, the Fairview Fire District said.

The two-alarm blaze on Corine Drive broke out around 1 p.m., bringing 40 firefighters from Arlington, the City of Poughkeepsie and Roosevelt fire departments to the scene.

The fire is under investigation, authorities said."
