Initial Summary:   

Firefighter Jones had been requested by the Chief of Department to report to the station to pick a piece of apparatus to take in to the shop for maintenance.

While in route to the station, he began experiencing difficulty in breathing and severe chest pains and pulled off the road.

Help was summoned and his department's ambulance transported him to the hospital where he succumbed to a fatal heart attack.
