No he never sought the Office and yet when he was called upon he reacted like any other american citizen. He steped up to the plate and did the best he cold. It was trying times in America beck then. Civil unrest, unpopular war, a president under investigation, Yet through alof this Ford became a peace maker, held the Country togeather and did it his way.
