Troopers charge 5 with DWI on Taconic, Routes 6, 35

An 18-year-old Bay Shore, Long Island, woman who was charged with driving while intoxicated for the second time in two months is among five people charged with DWI over the weekend, state police said today.

Krystal M. Cole is scheduled to appear Dec. 21 in Mount Pleasant Town Court to answer a felony charge of DWI, state police said.

Troopers Sean Morgan and Freddy Lopez arrested her after she was involved in an accident on the Taconic State Parkway at 3:38 p.m. Friday, police said.

Her blood-alcohol concentration was .16 percent, twice the legal limit, and it was her second arrest in two months, police said.

Morgan and Lopez also charged a 21-year-old Ossining man with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated after he was in an accident at 8:40 Sunday morning on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown, police said. He was ordered to appear Dec. 21 in town court, police said.

Troopers from the Brewster barracks charged a 24-year-old Southeast woman with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, after a traffic stop early yesterday on Route 6 in Southeast, state police said.

Troopers charged a 46-year-old South Salem man with misdemeanor DWI after he crashed into a utility police Sunday on Lake Shore Drive in Lewisboro, police said.

His car and the pole were destroyed, while he was taken to the Northern Westchester Hospital Center in Mount Kisco for injuries to his head and ankle, police said. He was ordered to appear Jan. 8 in Lewisboro Town Court.

A 29-year-old New York City man was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicate after troopers stopped him Sunday because one of his car's tail lamps was out, police said. He was stopped on Route 35 in Bedford and was ordered to appear Jan. 4 in Bedford Court.
