Purchasing Scanner Crystals

I have an old desktop model scanner that I got from Radio Shack years ago.

It takes crystals.

I am interested in getting some just for my local area ( Mt. Pleasant Police & Fire.)

Radio Shack looked at me like I had three heads when I asked about them.

Does any one know where I can get them from locally? There are tons listed for E-Bay and on the internet, but no guarentee they will carry them.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Radio Shack maybe, check RadioReference.com, Scannermaster.com and strongsignals.net, they might have links to online stores that still have them. Also try your local electronic shop or Ham Radio shop, they may still have some crystals around. I know there are not too many manufacturers left who make them, if any.
