Initial Summary:   

While responding on his POV (motorcycle) to the station for a call to a motor vehicle accident, Probationary Firefighter Weisbrich was unable to bring his vehicle to a stop at an intersection where he lacked the right of way and struck another vehicle.

He was transported to a hospital but passed away approximately two hours later from injuries received. Excessive speed was reported to be a contributing factor in the incident.
