White Planins FD Commercial Chasis?

How come White Plains has a majority of ford crew cab pumpers and frieghliners instead of your "traditional" engine or truck?

....and the Commissioner of the Department of Public Works controls ALL vehicle specifications and procurements.

No, they are not rebuilt DPW chasis. All the cabs/chasis for Engines and trucks were purchased new from the manufacturer for use as fire apparauts.

Let's let one of the many White Plains members on this forum give us the factual information, instead of speculating.
