x635 Gets A Blackberry

7 posts in this topic

So, I finally got a Blackberry. It's the 7100i model, and my carrier is Nextel (I'll save the horror story about trying to upgrade my phone from the i730 for another post)

I didn't get this phone to be tied to the internet even more then I am. I got it to be more organzied. I was sick of schlepping my PDA around, which I use for my schedule and tasks, so I decided this phone would be the perfect solution to merge two devices into one.

I also like the fact that it has TeleNav GPS, and hope that will help me out on my photo hunts, especially when I'm in LA.

Hopefully, this will help me become more organzied, and lead to less stress.

So far, I really like it. It's no where as evil as I thought it was.

Good luck with it!

Can you get this w/o phone service and just internet/aim and scheduling? Its between that or a sidekick but I know the sidekick cant do half the things a blackberry can but flip its screen, lol.

Good luck with it. But, don't be disappointed with the NEXTEL service, coverage and reliability of the unit itself.

We had to abandon our old Blackberries (is that correct ?) a few months ago that used Cingular for service. I chose the Verizon unit and have had no problems with it. But I kept my NEXTEL I580 for cellular and directconnect service.

Most folks who have Blackberry service went to Verizon. All 4, however, who went with NEXTEL have abandoned that idea and are now on Verizon.

I have a nextel Blackberry and the features are great, service mad.gif ... So now I'm getting the Cingular Blackberry my friend has one and it's awsome and the service even better half the time I use his phone because I have no service. Also one more thing If your not going to get the Blackberry service e-mail,IM,Blackberry messenger etc... I thinks it's kind of a waste.
