New Ambulances

sleepyhollow ems gets a new rig every 10 yrs. we have 2004 wheelcoach/ford.

and an 1994 e-one/ford.+ 2006 ford ems/ fly/car.

In Mohegan, each rig is replaced every 5 yrs. Our newest rig was purchased in 2004, which replaced our 1999 and we just signed contract to replace 1 of our 2001 rigs.

Stony Hill (Bethel,CT) runs a 15 year old ambulance which makes about 350 runs a year. From what I hear the funding is in place to replace it, and a comittee set up, but its been talked about for like 2 years now. The rig is a 1992 International Heavy duty with the 440, and a Road Rescue box. Cudos to SHFD on taking great care of their rigs.....but it may be time to let this one go.
