The New 145th Street Bridge- Bridge On A Barge

Myself and x901 caught the new 145th Street Bridge sitting on a barge, waiting to be installed, on the Harlem River by the Willis Ave Bridge recently. Pretty neat to see a bridge sitting like that, and interesting how it's "prefab". Guess it makes more sense to build it off site.

The Discovery Channel last month had an episode on "MegBuilders:Spanning the Harlem" regarding the rplacement of the Third Avenue Bridge. Similar scenario to the 145th Street Bridge you saw.
