Initial Summary:   

Junior Firefighter Christopher Bodkins was responding in a POV operated by his stepfather, Assistant Chief, to a water rescue incident due to flash flooding.

As they crossed a low water crossing, their vehicle was swept away by the current of the flood waters.

The stepfather and another occupant were able to excape the vehicle and were subsequently rescued.

Christopher was unable to escape the vehicle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
