Problem with scanner

I have a question my scanner has been working for years it's the bearcat BC350A

this may sound weird but all of a sudden 46.26 is not coming in and if it does I can hardly make out what there saying. But I get the p.d.,33.96,yonkers and so on. Any ideas as to what could be wrong? It's just to wierd only 46.26 is affected. It's driving me CRAZY!!!

Try entering 46.26 on another channel to see if there is a problem with that channel. I had that problem on a Bearcat 100 many years ago. Verify that the channel is not locked out. Lastly, there may be an antenna problem, if possible try another antenna.

Do you have the scanner next to a computer or any ohter electronic equipment? That could be the problems too since a lot of chips and processors create interference in teh 30 to 60 MHz range. Try moving the scanner to a different location away from other electronics. Also since radio waves can also be blocked by otehr structures, hills, ect., moving it might help you get a better line of sight to the radio tower.

Just last month my 2 bc350a's one in my trucka nd one in my fathers truck both had the speakers die within the same week. Sent them out to uniden for repair and have been working fine ever since. I am conivinced the lighting storms we had these last few months have affected the units.
