NYS EMT-B Re-Cert Exam

Anyone know of one scheduled?

Mine expires in September 2006.

My VA EMT-B expires in 2010.

I intended to take the NREMT-B exam this summer so I would not have to deal with it for two more years.

But life got in the way... and I don't want to let my NY expire.

Anyone? Bueller? Anyone...

Unfortunately, I am hoping to find a "test out" option as I do not have the CME hours and will not be able to take a NY course from VA...

I may have to just see if I can get in to a NREMT test...

You just missed the summer option that Phelps was holding at MKVAC. I'm afraid you will have to wait for fall and challenge out then.

BTW: New York is not yet a Registry State, so you will still have to either take a Challenge or Full Recert Course, either way, bringing you back up to New York at some point. If your VA EMT stays Valid, you can just use that for Reciprocity purposes if/when you move back to New York, thereby making the need for the NR exam mute.

I still plan on taking the NREMT test... when I can fit it in to my schedule.

VA did not accpet my NY for reciprocity, so I had to take the full EMT-B course.

Anyone know if NY will accept VA for reciprocity?
