Resources Assigned: 40 Fire Companies, 5 Rescue Ambulances, 7 Battalion Chief Officer Command Teams, 2 Arson Units, 4 LACoFD Camp Crews, 4 Helicopters, 2 LACoFD Helicopters

Incident Description: Over 200 firefighters battled a 25-acre brush fire well into the evening in the Benedict Canyon area of Los Angeles. Despite the multiple dwellings in the area, all were spared as a result of the quick efforts of firefighters and proper brush clearance. One LACoFD Camp Crew inmate suffered from heat exhaustion and one Firefighter suffered an injury resulting from being hit with a broken hoseline. Both were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. The cause of this fire is under investigation.
