More Problems with Nextel

There is a way to connect your portable with your nextel direct connect. I dont know how to but there is a way. Also some portables can be used as a cell phone.

You would need an interoperability control unit. The unit would require a dedicated portable and a dedicated nextel to be connected to it. Then it more or less acts as a cross band repeater. Check this out. The ACU1000 is a great example of one of these units.

I went to MA over the weekend, i forgot my NEXTEL here in NY. I figured, what the hell if I cant use it down here, I definately wont be able to use it in the sticks. But of course, of the 4 other people I was with, 3 had T-mobile and no service and 1 had NEXTEL with pretty good service. The one time I couldve actually used my NEXTEL and i forgot it.

Pleasantville area. Same issue. Comes and goes now for 2 weeks.

Tarrytown area same thing.
