Yorktown structure fire 7-17-06

Thank you ONLOCATION for also giving YVAC some credit for backing up the firefighters and ensuring that everyone on scene was well hydrated and able to fight the fire. As a new FF, with out any training from Yorktown I was unable to respond with YHFD but did respond with YVAC and was on scene providing ice, water and other beverages to personnel in need. Overall I beleive that it was a great job done by YHFD and the other fire departments that responded, espescially in the environment present

Great post krs940

Woa. Guys. It was only a question.

Mrbolz: Thanks for the answer, much appreciated.

To the people who saw it as a negative critique: If I were gonna bash (which I don't do), I woulda made it clear that I was bashing.

I'm off to oogle the pictures.

As said by many, excellent job as usual by YHFD.

I would like to add, excellent job convering the roof. In the pictures I counted no less than four ground ladders covering three sides of the house in addition to the stick. This is something that doesn't get done enough. Too often the only ladders that go up are the one's that get used. Lets not forget to put up multiple paths of egress. The one you might need is the one that's not there.

Once again, great job!
